It’s the time of our lives! The Erasmus Times
Written by Simona Livia Suciu

It’s the time of our lives! were we whispering at the first meeting when we were only strangers to each other and when our minds were still filled with astonishment. The fact that Manneken Pis is only a 60cm tall statue and that we can find urinals against the wall of the Saint Catherine’s church made us all babble that this capital is a strange place.Erasmus student in her room. Four months are gone and we are still together in Brussels. We are no longer strangers, but friends. Coming from six different countries, we quickly established the same rituals and our identity.

The smell of hot coffee in the class, the long line in the cafeteria, parties in crowded pubs, the beers, low-cost tickets, the problematic Dokeos, evenings at Rits Café, the musicians playing in the laundry and the debates in the kitchen are only a few pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that portrays us: the Erasmus Students 2009-2010.

It’s the time of our lives! The time when ambition, dreams and fun come together. The time when thirteen people with determination and little experience act as one by pushing down the stereotypes about unknown cultures in an attempt to create a lifelong memory, the magazine called The Erasmus Times.
