Débora Velasqu ez, an Argentinian stylist and fashion designer, has reached the highest position in the Belgian fashion world. She has dressed people from the Belgian elite, like politicians, ambassadors, television presenters, renowned models and celebrities.Reporter: How and when did arise your passion for the fashion world?
Débora: Since I was very young, fashion has fascinated me. When I moved to Brussels, I began a new life so I thought that it could be the perfect moment to fulfil my dream.
R: Is it true that if you want to take up fashion studies, you must have a high amount of money? Débora: Not at all, if you really want to do something in your life, you must fight until you get it. It is true that some people have better facilities and they can afford to study at the best fashion schools in the world. But here in Brussels people who are not so rich can attend free schools, financed by the government.

The sun is not so far from Belgium anymore. For years they have been testing their new creation just in order to start the space adventure, what they call a “technological demonstration mission”. On 2nd of November, at 2:50 the micro-satellite PROBA2 lifted off from Pletsek (Russia) in an intercontinental ballistic missile from the Cold War.

More than a century later of their creation, Nobel Peace Prize 2009 goes to Barack Obama, United States’ first black president, who apparently has made “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples", as Thoerdbjoern Jagland –President of the Nobel Committee in Norway- announced.
Nobel Prizes are given in order to award people who defend pacifism. Recognizing a special role in human history is the main reason for which the Nobel Prizes were created more than one century ago according to guidelines laid down in Alfred Nobel's will. Since then, many historical figures have been awarded with it, like Martin Luther King (1964), the Mother Teresa of Calcutta (1979) or Rigoberta Menchú (1992). This shows up that this prize has nothing to do with nationalities or races, but… what about political ranges?

It’s the time of our lives! were we whispering at the first meeting when we were only strangers to each other and when our minds were still filled with astonishment. The fact that Manneken Pis is only a 60cm tall statue and that we can find urinals against the wall of the Saint Catherine’s church made us all babble that this capital is a strange place.
Four months are gone and we are still together in Brussels. We are no longer strangers, but friends. Coming from six different countries, we quickly established the same rituals and our identity.
